Grant Nicholson is the Head of Clinical Research Operations at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH) having previously held roles at the University of Oxford, Imperial College and within commercial clinical research organisations.  He joined GOSH in 2019 and has oversight of the non-clinical research delivery workforce.  He is responsible for the operational delivery of the paediatric research portfolio, including all early-phase high intensity experimental medicine trials delivered by the NIHR CRF, and contributes to defining the strategic direction of research and innovation within the Trust.

He represents GOSH at a regional and national level promoting the research portfolio and building collaborative relationships with commercial, non-commercial and charitable partners.  He is currently the chair for the NIHR UK Clinical Research Facility Network Managers Group.
